2Tim 2:22: … pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Instead of our week-long Summer School of Truth in Denver, we will be having a summer-long online Summer Truth Pursuit for all the college, high school and junior high aged students in the Mountain States region (and anyone else who wants to join).
pur·suit
(noun) 1. The action of following or pursuing someone or something. 2. An activity of a specified kind, especially a recreational or athletic one.
The Bible charges us to pursue together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. To pursue is not to passively receive some information or simply to follow a program. To pursue is to have an attitude of aggressively wanting to gain, to learn and to grow.
This summer, we want to pursue the Lord together, to gain Him as our life, our Person and our salvation.
In addition, we want to pursue the truth. By seeking, inquiring, praying and studying together, to “apprehend with all the saints” the vast salvation that God has prepared for us.
We pursue together through
Daily morning revival.
The morning is the best time to have fellowship with the Lord by exercising our spirit in praying, praising, singing, and reading His word.
Companion meetings.
None of us can make it on our own. The life that we have received from God wants to pursue together with others.
Bible reading challenge.
God’s Word is our daily food supply, the foundation for our spiritual life and the way for us to receive light and revelation concerning God’s salvation.
We gather together every Saturday night to enjoy the Lord and fellowship together. We will also have some special meetings during the summer.
Participating in the church meetings.
The way to build up the church is by speaking and ministering to one another what we have gained of the Lord in the Word.
Activities.
As God’s family, we enjoy spending time together, not just for “spiritual” things, but to build up our relationships as brothers and sisters in the Lord.
